About ASME B18.2.2 Heavy Hex Nut

The Stainless Steel ASME B18.2.1 Heavy Hex Nut (commonly mislabeled under B18.2.1, but officially governed dimensionally by ASME B18.2.2) is a high-strength, inch-series imperial fastener designed with a significantly wider profile and thicker height than a standard hex nut. By providing an expanded bearing surface area, it distributes heavy clamping forces over a larger footprint. This design makes it the global industry standard for securing high-pressure piping flanges, structural steel joints, and heavy industrial vessel assemblies.
